Opus D10, Opus D12, Opus D14 Two-Way Radios

Requirements for installation

This procedure assumes that you have a copy of the correct CPS (Customer Programming Software) and a Windows 10 (64 bit) PC. The software has not been tested on Windows 11.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Applies to V2.00.25.04 or later.

You may need to install this program in Administrator Mode to ensure that all access rights are granted correctly.

If you already have a copy of the CPS installed, you do not need to uninstall the old version. It will automatically be replaced.

  1. Locate the CPS program file on your PC.
  2. Double click the name.
  3. If you see a UAC warning message, click Yes.
  4. The CPS Setup program will start.
  5. Click Next.
  6. At the 'Select Destination Location' prompt, either keep the default location or click 'Browse...' and select a new location.
  7. Click Next.
  8. At the 'Select Start Menu Folder' prompt, either keep the default or click 'Browse...' and choose a new location or tick the 'Don't create a Start Menu folder' checkbox.

  10. At the 'Select Additional Tasks' prompt, choose which icons you require by ticking the relevant checkboxes.
  11. Click Next.
  12. At the 'Ready to Install' prompt, check the selections are correct. Use Back to change any that are incorrect and then return to this page.
  13. Click Install.
  14. When the progress bar has completed you will have the option to install the USB Driver.
  15. If this is the first installation of the CPS on your PC, tick the 'Launch Driver Installation' checkbox.
  16. If you want to start the CPS following installation, tick the 'Launch CPS D5' checkbox.
  17. Click Finish.
  18. If required, the driver will now install. When you see the 'Installation successful' pop-up, click OK.
  19. If you opted for the CPS to start, it will now start.
