Update Opus D1X Radio Firmware

Opus D10, Opus D12, Opus D14 Two-Way Radios
Background Information

Like most modern electronic devices, your two way radio runs on software. This type of software is known as firmware (FW).

Firmware is numbered sequentially with major, minor and subversions in the form 1.2.3. The higher the number, the more recent the firmware.

As we develop new features, introduce improvements and fix bugs we release firmware updates for our products. Generally speaking, if a radio works fine for you there is no need to update the firmware.

You can check the current firmware in your device if you have a copy of the CPS (Customer Programming Software) and a programming cable or, if your device has a screen, from the information menu (see below).

To check the current firmware on your D12 or D14; using the front keypad, press the OK button (top left), then press the Left or Right button multiple times to select Settings, followed by the OK button. Now use the Left/Right buttons to select Radio Info and then press the OK button. Again, use the Left/Right buttons to select Firmware Ver., followed by OK. The radio display will show the currently installed firmware version (e.g. V3.02.25). If you press a button accidentally, just press the Back button (top right) to step back. If you cannot locate the relevant menu, access may have been restricted by your system administrator.

If you encounter a bug, please speak with us. A firmware update may be available to resolve the issue. If not, assuming we can replicate the issue, we will request a firmware update from our software engineers.

Should you need to update the firmware in your device please follow these simple steps.
